The Farm

Blume Farm sits on 20 acres of pasture land in central NC. We are fortunate to have a very long growing season here so most the year the horses are kept on pasture (weather dependent). The farm has a Siler City address, but is in the region of Chatham County called Silk Hope. This farm has well draining soil and very good established pastures. Chatham County is one of the most desirable counties in central NC being near rapid growth centers of the Triangle and Chatham Park. We are well situated within 15 minutes to Chatham Park and Pittsboro to the east, Siler City to the west, 20-25 minutes to Carrboro/ Chapel Hill, 35-40 minutes to Apex/ Cary, 45min-1hr to Durham and Raleigh.

The farm is 20 acres in total, comprised of two separate parcels (12 acre and 8 acre). The ENTIRE property perimeter fenced in non-climb horse fencing with wood top rail. All the fields are cross fenced with either electric Horseguard, 4 rail wood or non-climb horse fencing. There are two separate entrance gates, both with automatic gates. We use one as the farm entrance and the other as the home entrance.

There is both the main house that is approximately 2600sq ft and a 1 bedroom cottage with full kitchen, bath, w/d, large walk-in closet, massive deck with pergola and fenced back yard. The main house has a whole house generator so you will never be without water or power during a storm.

Additional structures include a covered shed for tractor storage (currently houses 3 separate tractors/ mowers), storage shed and mancave/ she-shed in the fenced yard of the main house

There are two wells, one on each parcel, but are connected in case there was issue with one the other can act as back up.

We have an abundance of both large and small veterinarians, fantastic farriers, feed stores, hay supplies, 50 minutes to NC State Veterinary School.

We are within 1.5-4 hours driving distance to many show grounds including Carolina Horse Park, Pinehurst, Raleigh Hunt Horse Complex, Williamston, Tryon and Virginia Horse Park.

Nothing was spared in the development of this working equestrian farm and has been lovingly cared for the past 20 years.

The Main Barn

8 12x12 stalls with attached run-out paddocks. All stalls are matted, have outlets for fans and heated water buckets.
